Tennis Lesson – Racket Bracket helps one-handed slice backhands – Tennis Equipment
Like all shots in tennis, hitting a consistent one-handed slice or backspin backhand requires a player to get a feel for the point of contact. And, in order to have a consistent point of contact, precise footwork and good balance are required. The Racket Bracket positions the hand and racquet to make hitting out-of-position balls nearly impossible. At the same time, the wrist is held in a consistent position, which in turn creates a consistent angle between the arm and the racquet. www.oncourtoffcourt.com

Tennis Equipment – How to improve balance and body rotation for tennis strokes – Training Aid Tip
The best professional tennis players often look very effortless and smooth when they play. In fact, relaxation and fluid swing patterns not only make them look good, but are also the source of their power. An essential part of the fluid motions for groundstrokes comes from body rotation. To get a feel for the rotational balance needed to stroke tennis balls more like the pros try standing on Swivel Disks and swing your racquet. At first it may feel awkward, but improving your balance and ability to rotate through your groundstrokes can produce dramatic results. www.oncourtoffcourt.com

Tennis Equipment – How to set your racquet and wrist – Tennis Lesson
To play tennis well, players need to be able to repeatedly hit the ball at a consistent contact point. Good footwork is needed to quickly position their body to be able to strike the ball with balance and power through that contact point. This is challenging enough, but players can also fall into the bad habit of adjusting by using their wrist in different ways to hit shots. This results in inconsistency. Yes, the more accomplished players can use the wrist to their advantage, but for beginner and intermediate players learning the fundamentals, it is important to keep the wrist in the proper position consistently throughout each forehand, each backhand, etc. When used incorrectly, the variability of the wrist introduces an infinite number of different swing paths which can never be optimized for the consistency that is needed to raise the level of your game. The training aid called the Racket Bracket comfortably blocks incorrect wrist movements and allows only the fundamentally correct swing path to be repeated. Using The Racket Bracket, the player has little or no chance of hitting a successful shot when theyre out of position. This naturally puts the focus on every shot on the player’s footwork and positioning which makes practice more productive and rapidly raises the level of your play. www.oncourtoffcourt.com
